Coastal Services Currently Offered

Alex and Diann Rooker formed "A&D Rooker Coastal Services" in late 2013 to offer a variety of nautical related services along the eastern coast of the US and Canada. 

Nautical Cremains Scattering Service
Diann, having been a hospice volunteer in the 1990's , coordinates the Cremains Service from on board the company's 1997 Gemini Catamaran.  Those who recognise the low mellow sound of a Conch Shell Horn being blown will understand the dignified beginning to the offered service.  After reading the service script, and scattering the ashes- the vessel's bell is rung.

Services on the Neuse River-  based from New Bern, NC are $495.  From Oriental, NC on the Pamlico Sound the fee is $695.  Three miles offshore, from Morehead City, NC the fee is $995.

Captained Charter Day Sails from New Bern, NC
The vessel has the capacity for six passengers. Coordination for passenger pickup can be made at the  public docks or in conjunction with the two hotels having dockage on the Trent River.

A two hour sail is $300 (with up to six passengers).  Each additional hour is $100.  Schedule your event in advance to ensure availability. Non-alcoholic beverages are provided.

Canvas Repair & Rag Quilts
Minor canvas repair and a variety of items are available. 

Diann sews rag quilts to provide customers an opportunity for a custom gift.  Many find the sentimentality of a quilt, made of a loved ones clothing, to be especially warming of fond memories.
